Happy Halloween!
I started my day off by scaring the $#*! out of Tony as I kissed him good bye. I leaned in for a smooch and tried to warn him by saying, "bye, Babe, have a good day...oh yeah, I'm a zombie"... ha that definitely caught him off guard! (to my amusement, poor guy!)
My Olympic Gymnast zombie costume did not win the eMoney contest, but we had fun! See photos below.
We ended the day with giving out candy to the neighborhood kids...Check this situation:
Tony: "Hi kids! Happy Halloween, take one piece!"
The grandma goes, "Can I take one for my grand baby in the stroller?"
Tony: "sure!"
A second later the grandma's hand was stuck in the bucket b/c she didn't want to let go of her handful! Tony just watched in shock as the grandma wriggled her hand around to get fist full of candy. What were we supposed to do?! ha
Anyway, it was a good day. Back to the grind tomorrow!

It Begins
Well, here goes...
I've decided to create a blog because I am terrible with phone calls and emails, Tony gets way too many phone calls and emails, and this seems easy! As our lives get busier it gets tough catching up with friends/family. So there you go, for those who want to know what Tony and I are up to... welcome the Mitchell Family blog...Philly style!
Today, was the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. No damage done to us here in Philly (thank god!). Just lots of debris on the roads and my poor plants are drowning in their pots. Some of the photos of New Jersey and New York are unreal. Makes me reconsider moving near the ocean! (Sorry, Tony).
One benefit of working from home is I can actually watch the news. I had it on most of the day just as background noise. The news interviewed all sort of people and I started to question the decision making skills of not only the reporters but also the interviewees. Example: A reporter interviewed a 60 yr old lady today who had a "Top Gun" tattoo on the front of her throat. It was jiggling in her neck flesh, ick. Why would you get a TOP GUN tattoo on your throat??! It's a good movie but sheesh. The Top Gun lady had nothing interesting to say either, "uh, yeh, my basement is flooded". Great thanks for that. I tried to google a picture of it, but couldn't find it. Sorry for the disappointment.
Tony started up his favorite winter sport today. (I think a little cabin fever had something to do with it!) Tony and John played a competitive game of 3 Bar. If you don't know, 3 Bar is a game Tony plays in the basement as an excuse to smoke cigarettes in the house (actually today was a cigar) and smash up the basement bricks as he fires laser fast hockey shots at a steel goal which is only 10 ft away. (*sigh... boys.)
Tomorrow is Halloween, and I get to come to work in my costume! Yippee, no business attire, ha! Last year I won, hold on give me a chance to brush the dirt off my shoulders, OK, I'm good... where was I, oh yes, I won the costume contest last year! This year, I will be a Olympic Gymnast...Zombie (of course).
Alright, signing off. Good night!
